The knowledge exchange is where members post materials, review papers they have finished and share what is worth reading.
Current status
The exchange is live inside the workspace rather than on the open web, so that people can share drafts, reading notes and half-formed questions without publishing them to the world. It is new, and it grows at the speed of the people in it.
What follows describes what belongs there. If that sounds like your kind of room, it costs nothing to join and you do not need to be commissioning work to take part.
A short, honest account of a paper — what it argues, whether the evidence carries the claim, and where it falls short. More useful than a summary, and considerably more useful than a citation count.
Worked examples, method notes, a mapping workflow that finally behaved, a script, a teaching resource. Things you built that would save someone else a fortnight.
Writing from outside the exchange that changed how you think, with a line explaining why rather than a bare link.
How a question looks different at another scale, in another projection, or with the uncertainty made explicit. The kind of observation that rarely survives into a published abstract.
Unfinished thinking is welcome. A clearly stated problem often draws better help than a polished conclusion.
How it stays useful
Credit the source of an idea, a figure or a dataset. Sharing someone else's work as your own ends participation.
Disagreement about method and evidence is the point. Contempt for the author is not.
Posts that exist to sell something, harvest contacts or drive traffic are removed. Sharing your own work is welcome when the substance is the point.
Posts and comments are moderated with stated reasons and an audit trail, not silently deleted. Genuine criticism stays up.
Do not post client data, embargoed results or material you are not free to share. The exchange is not a private workspace.
The exchange is not a place to obtain answers to coursework. See ethics and academic integrity.
Membership is free and open to students, researchers, professionals and anyone who reads seriously. You can read, post materials, review papers and take part in discussion without ever commissioning a project.
